Schedule

The next test will be administered in-person at Great Bay Community College. Registration is NOW OPEN through October 24, 2024, with testing to occur on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 9:00AM.

How to Register

To register for this examination, you must complete the Online Registration Form and submit the $94* registration fee. If you cannot do the exam after having registered, you must notify Jenn Tapley in writing at [email protected] prior to October 23, 2024. If notification is made prior to October 23rd, a refund will be issued for the registration fee less the non-refundable administrative fee.
*$94 registration fee includes a 7% non-refundable administration fee

Testing Process

Candidates will register online for the test using the Online Registration Form indicated above. Registration for this exam will close on October 24, 2024. Testing will be held at Great Bay Community College on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 9:00AM.

The exam is comprised of cognitive ability (deductive reasoning, flexibility of closure, inductive reasoning, information gathering, problem sensitivity, selective attention, spatial orientation, verbal comprehension, verbal expression, visualization) and behavioral orientation section. You will have 2.5 hours to complete the exam.

A study guide is available for purchase through our testing company. Please contact Jenn Tapley to receive the specific instructions on purchasing a study guide.

On the scheduled testing day and time, you will need a valid photo ID such as a driver’s license, passport, or military ID to be admitted into the exam on the date of testing.

During the exam, you will be monitored by several members from our departments who are members of our Police Testing Alliance. 

The following week after the exam has been completed, your results will be provided to all participating Alliance agencies to determine candidate eligibility.  The results will also be sent to you by mail approximately two weeks after your test date.

Candidates may be asked to participate in additional testing or review by police departments at some future date. This additional consideration may include further written tests, oral interviews and examinations, polygraphs, medical and psychological evaluations, fitness and agility testing, and/or intensive background investigations. The entire selection process is normally accomplished with a period of 90-120 days. All follow up testing and review depend on the hiring needs of the individual police departments.
